Camden Spit & Larder sits on Capitol Mall in Downtown Sacramento’s heart, serving London-inspired food and fare.
The restaurant is spirited by chef and owner Oliver Ridgeway, bringing his youth’s flavors to the table, having grown up in Great Britain.
Suited to Sacramento’s business workforce, the interior of Camden Spit & Larder gives you all the Britishesque razzle-dazzle one would hope to see. A visit delivers a luxuriant experience from a tie-wearing, stylish pig riding away on a Vespa at the entrance to a central bar — all awakening your senses before taking you on a culinary journey.

Camden Spit & Larder Menu Options
I had a Churchill G&T with gin, lime, tonic, mint, and juniper to start my meal. Half dozen sausage rolls, with hot English mustard and curried ketchup, followed. These were delightful. Piping hot, with the dipping sauce adding the perfect mix of flavors with the sausage centers.
As a main, Barrett had sweet potato gnocchi with kale, apples, hazelnuts, and parmesan. We also had a simple salad with farm lettuce, radish, herbs, carrots, feta, almonds, and lemon vinaigrette.
For my main, I had pork chops garnished with greens and potato mash. At this point in the meal, I felt full as could be, like the satisfied British-blood man I am.
We had biscotti and cream and a personal pie for dessert, a great way to end the meal on a sugary note.
