More Express in Jersey City is a relaxing place to grab sushi when you’re near the downtown city center.

We ordered takeout, which included some of their sushi selection, and will have to go back another time to try their Asian Fusion options and offerings. For our takeout order, we grabbed:

  • California Roll
  • Shrimp Tempura Roll
  • Tokyo Roll—Spicy tuna, crunch on top, shrimp tempura, eel, avocado, cucumber with chef’s special sauce
  • Funny Roll—Jumbo side spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, cucumber & crunchy
  • Tuna Avocado Roll

Along with sides of Japanese mayonnaise, ginger and wasabi, the order was complete in terms of dipping sauces and additional.

The premium, special rolls were great, but because the fish was fresh, the simple tuna avocado and California rolls may have been my favorite. Made and formed well, and with a dash of soy sauce, one of my favorite ways to eat “Americanized” Japanese sushi.
