On my Mom’s latest birthday, I wanted to give her a gift that was a little bit different from anything I’d done in the past. A unique gift and something to help create more memories and connections.

I decided to create a boxed set of twelve pre-addressed, and stamped envelopes addressed to me, tucked inside a book box along with parchment stationery paper. Along with the letter-writing materials, I included pre-written question prompts for twelve months, listed below.

So, what’s the Mother & Son letter writing process? Each month, my Mom and I write each other a letter answering the prompted questions, receive, and then save for the future. We’re two months into the process and have genuinely enjoyed writing and learning more about each other’s lives, even though Mother knows me quite well already.

Start the twelve-month letter writing process with your own Son or Mother today!
