Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria arrived in Oak Park last year, but it wasn’t until a few days ago that we finally tried their pizza offerings.
At Slim & Husky’s, you can either order one of their signature artisan pizzas or build your own pizza with customized toppings. Slim & Husky’s has locations in Tennessee and Georgia, and the one California location in Oak Park off Broadway.
Trying Slim & Husky’s Signature Artisan Pizzas
To get our S+H start, we ordered the Rony, Roni, Rone! pizza, P.R.E.A.M. pizza, and The Smokin’ Herb with chicken, and also ordered their house salads too.
The Rony, Roni, Rone! features classic red sauce, S+H house cheese blend, pork pepperoni, beef pepperoni, and spiced pepperoni. And boy, was it good! Hot, a touch of meat spice, and complex in flavor.
The Smokin’ Herb had white sauce with the S+H house cheese blend, spinach, red onions, and mushrooms. You can choose smoked salmon as your meat, but we chose chicken. This pizza had a deep herb bed of flavor, with chicken as the shining star on main stage!
The third pizza we tried was the P.R.E.A.M. with white sauce, house cheese blend, spinach, pepperoni, pulled Italian sausage, mushrooms, and red onions. I love combination pizzas, and this Slim & Husky’s spin fits the bill perfectly.
Choose Your Slim & Husky’s Sauces
When you make your pizza order, you can also add a complimentary pizza drizzle to dip or drizzle over your slim (10″) or husky (16″) size pizza. Drizzle flavors include garlicky garden butter, jalapeno cilantro ranch, peach mustard, balsamic molasses, honey sriracha mayo, and pineapple chipotle BBQ.
Once you’ve had your fill of pizza, don’t forget to try one of Slim & Husky’s delicious cinnamon rolls—with lemon glazes, chocolate sauces, and more as toppings.
Overall, I loved the S+H take on oblong, personal-sized pizzas, and must-visit again to try their larger husky-sized pizzas too.
