Like the memorable vacation I don’t want to end, I’m quickly coming to the bittersweet end of my 20’s.
During this decade, I defined my beliefs, characterized who I am, absorbed many skills, built a career and business, met interesting people, traveled far and wide, and found my soulmate. I’m not quite as far as I wanted to be at this point in life, but I’m further along in some ways unexpected. All in all, the wisdom I’ve attained after thirty years on this earth boils down to one singular pearl. You cannot control all things, only your effort. All that matters is hitting that pillow at the end of the day, honestly checking in with self, and finding you did your very best — individually and for the people around you.
In the words of Banksy, “If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit.”
