The Infinity Hotel Sf, Ascend Hotel Collection is tucked between other structures off Lombard Street in San Francisco’s Marina District. It offers north/central accommodations in this sprawling city.
It is a newer hotel, and rooms are updated and not very pricey, considering San Francisco’s range.

Arriving at the Hotel
We parked off Pierce Street using the public usage garage without any issue.
Make sure you pay for your parking when exiting, as it’s not something you pay for post-parking. There’s a Citi Bank right behind the parking garage if you need it, although parking can be paid for by card. It was a half-block walk to get to the hotel from the Pierce St parking garage.
Check-in was smooth and the front desk concierge had plenty of great recommendations to give. At the base of the hotel is the Twisted Street Cafe — a quick spot to grab a coffee on your way out for a walk from the hotel.
At night the entrance to the Infinity Hotel Sf is locked — and you enter the lobby with a room key. This was a nice peace of mind at night to keep you secure on busy Lombard Street.
The room had a heated-water bidet, and the shower head was nice and strong. Additionally, someone like me likes to sleep with sound. It was very nice to be able to put the fan on constant high despite the thermostat’s ups and downs. A loud fan at night without traveling with one is great.
The Infinity Hotel Sf is Close to Everything
The best part of the Infinity Hotel Sf is proximity to everything.
Right from the door you can walk to many restaurants, walk the entire Marina District waterfront, or hike a few miles up a few ups-and-downs and big hills to get yourself to the Castro and Mission Dolores Park. From Dolores Park, we walked down Market Street to Embarcadero and then Ubered back to the hotel after we finished walking at the touristy piers.
While at the hotel, don’t forget to take a sunset walk to The Palace of Fine Arts. Absolutely gorgeous.
All in all, from the hotel we completed an eight-mile walk through San Francisco in one day and were able to see a good third of the city intimately.
In my opinion, if you want to get to know a place, find a great spot to call base. Then walk out into the city amongst the people. You’ll see the best views and have the greatest of times!
P.S. I did a terrible job of collecting photos of the hotel. I hope you’ll enjoy photos of the nearby Palace of Fine Arts instead!
