Although I don’t believe Theresa Caputo is actually talking to dead people, I am a huge fan of what she does for people. I have no problem with two consenting adults talking about dead people, and if it makes them feel happy, joyful, empowered – and releasing of any negativity – more power to them. I’m in full support.
What did I notice after watching a lot of Long Island Medium episodes?
- “Who departed young?” No answer. “Young for me is anyone who has left before their time.” She’s fishing. “My husband.”
- “Oh, perfect!” Anytime something fits.
- Asking about recipe books from Grandmas who have passed is easy – almost all Grandma’s kept a recipe book.
- “Are you married?”
“No.”
“Well, your Dad sees you being married in the future.” - Almost every person has at least some trinket from a person past.
- “How do you connect with the color red?”
“Something about the number three?” - She switches between “They said” and “I feel like they want.”
- “Were you not expecting them to die?” Slam dunk question as no death is expected.
- “A young male is present. Young for me is anyone who left before their time?” That could be anyone.
- Sometimes she’ll blame the dead person if she’s not getting hits. “He’s not a great communicator, your brother.”
Ultimately, I believe everyone needs to talk to someone – so Theresa becomes a pseudo-therapist. Pastor. If you feel guilty, Theresa helps. If you feel sad and angry. Theresa helps. All people want to feel comforted, so Theresa tells them what they want to hear. It’s self-medication.
I guess I need to get on Thersa Caputo’s waiting list and see for myself – as I’ve visited all sorts of mystics, palm readers, mediums and more in my life. I hear she gives her reading fees to charity, which I applaud. How lovely!
