What did we order at Boon Boon Cafe?

The list of items ordered from Boon Boon Cafe for the first time was extensive! We couldn’t help but add an extra entree to split.

  • Asparagus Curry — The asparagus curry is a delightful specialty, and I chose chicken as the protein at a medium spicy level, with jasmine rice on the side. This green curry features asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, bell pepper, eggplant, and basil.
  • Butterfly Prawns — These butterfly prawns are oh so delicious! The shrimp are batter-fried and served with sweet and sour sauce for dipping. They burst in your mouth with flavor!
  • Pad Thai with Tofu — I love a good pad thai noodle dish, and Boon Boon Cafe delivered on this note! Pan-fried rice noodles, egg, bean sprouts, green onion, and ground peanut, as expected. I chose the medium spicy level with tofu as the protein. Superb!
  • Thai Iced Coffee — As a bit of a treat, we tried Thai iced coffee. It is refreshing and a nice pick-me-up. Ultimately, I prefer Thai iced tea over Thai iced coffee.
  • Kao Soy Noodle Soup — As something we haven’t tried before, we ordered the Kao Soy Noodle Soup, which is supposed to be a favorite dish of Northern Thailand—with chicken, bean sprouts, onion, egg noodle, and pickle garnish in curry sauce.

Although everything was exceptional from Boon Boon Cafe, I think my favorite dish was the Kao Soy Noodle Soup. I almost always order pad thai when I visit a Thai restaurant, so it’s nice to add another dish to my repertoire of favorites!
