What was first a random click on Amazon Prime movies ultimately turned into an exciting watch; Welcome to the Men’s Group is a wild ride of pent up emotions — a comedy-drama included with Prime quoted as a “men’s support group descending into chaos when trust between the men is threatened.”
From the beginning, I didn’t know what to expect. Which direction would the movie take? The initial interactions between the men in the group mislead you into thinking one thing when something else happens entirely. Stitched together in the middle with a concourse of deep dialogue, things get really interesting when the men decide to have a group therapy session in an “animal” fashion, without giving away too much.
The Final Thoughts — Welcome to the Men’s Group
All in all, what this movie hits deep on is the recessed parts of every man that hide far within — secrets, failures, unfounded dreams, all culminating for the perfect, toxic recipe that is the fragile, masculine man.
Now, here remains the singular question; would I join this men’s group? In short, no. I think every man needs a place and positioning to outlet emotions, fears, and frustrations, but I have created many exits in my life emotionally for the toxic sludge to ooze out of my mind and heart and leave me remaining more purified, clearheaded, and kind.
For some, this men’s group just may be the perfect mix, however, to let the emotions out and run dry.

Additional thought of note: The home where they filmed was gorgeous and had a lovely piano. Great concept, where an entire movie is filmed on location within the confines of a single home, backyard, and street.
