Backlink Generation
Backlinks are links back to your website from another site.
Google ranks pages from 0-10. This ranking is known as Page Rank or PR. If your page has received backlinks from good PR pages then your page is considered to be important in the eyes of the search engine and your PR and rank on Google for different keywords will improve.
You can hire a back linker who’ll give you high PR backlinks from different related websites. I prefer to do most things myself.
Ways to get back links…
Article Marketing
Article marketing is one way to get backlinks.
For this, you have to get some articles written over your niche topic (in this case, whatever your company’s niche is), with the last 2-3 lines dedicated to your page and a link back to it. Then these articles are submitted on different article submission websites online and hence you get backlinks in return to these submissions.
You can hire a SEO friendly writer who’ll write the articles for you with appropriate keyword density.
The article poster will create accounts on different article submission websites and will submit your articles on them.
Forum Posting
Forum posting is another great way to get backlinks.
The first step here is to join forums (related to your niche) on the web and there are many of them! You can hire a forum poster, but know that it’s not recommended to spam forums. You’ll quickly be banned and receive a negative connotation of your brand.
You’ll also receive backlinks from any links that are attached to your forum post signature.
Blog Commenting
Blog commenting is also just like forum posting in which you can comment on blogs with your link back to your page.
You can hire a blog commenter for this job. The commenter will comment in such a way that its comment will be related to the content of the post which is made on blog and you’ll get the back link too. The backlinks are created from your name being linked back to your blog.
Always remember these simple thoughts in regards to blog commenting:
- Never spam.
- Although you can hire individuals to comment for you, I haven’t trusted this to anyone else.
- Always remember that each comment is a “window” into your brand. Be respective, positive and helpful.
- Don’t comment for the sole purpose of obtaining links. You’ll lose quickly.
PPC Advertising
PPC or Pay per Click advertising is when you advertise on search engines and pay only when some one visits your website.
They’re the cheapest way to get visitors because this way you can get visitors as cheap as 1 cent and you’ll be paying only for the visitors which will actually click your link and visit your website.
Social Media Marketing
Businesses are making use of social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn.
The wonderful part of social media is that you have the ability of creating a “space” for your product or brand on each social networking website – allowing customers and fans to connect.
Social media allows you to:
- Keep customers current on company news.
- Find new customers.
- Grow your online presence.
- Network with other business owners.
Newsletters
If you’re maintaining a list of your visitors with their email addresses – then sending them newsletter from time to time is a good way to stay connected. Your newsletter will be a great way to keep your customers updated on current news, remind them of new products & inspire them to visit your website.
When managing a newsletter remember:
- Don’t send too many emails to your contacts. You’ll frustrate them and cause them to unsubscribe.
- Keep your newsletter personal, to the point and well structured.
- Treat your list with caution – as it’s often your lynchpin to success.
